Functions of the Student Welfare Office
In accordance with Clause 9(d) of Section 9 of Act No. 31
of 2016, passed by the National Parliament, the appointment of a Director
(Student Welfare) at the University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh, is
mandated. Accordingly, under Clause 9(1) of the statutes, a Director (Student
Welfare) has been appointed.
The Student Welfare Office coordinates and manages
activities related to students’ welfare. In collaboration with the hall
authorities, the office ensures seat allocation in residential halls, provides
health services, physical education, sports, and co- and extracurricular
support. Currently, the Student Welfare Office is managed by one Director and
one Assistant Director.
Clubs Operated under the Student Welfare Office:
Currently, 10 clubs operate under the Student Welfare
Office. These include: UFTB Sports Club, UFTB Programming Club, UFTB Debating
Club, UFTB Cultural Club, UFTB STEAM Club, UFTB Robotics Club, UFTB Language
Club, Math Squad, UFTB Cyber Security Club, and the UFTB AI Community.
These clubs offer a range of sports, co-curricular, and
extracurricular activities throughout the year. Each club is guided by an
esteemed advisory panel to ensure dynamic and effective operations.
Collectively, these clubs play a vital role in students’ career development,
co-curricular engagement, and extracurricular activities, while also serving as
an invisible bridge that strengthens interpersonal relationships among
students. They contribute significantly to fostering cooperation, confidence,
and leadership skills
