University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB), is a specialized university in Bangladesh. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh enacted an act in Parliament on 26 July 2016, to establish this university. The university is in Kaliakair upazila, in Gazipur District. 

In line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the university aims to create opportunities for higher education and research in Bangladesh, keeping pace with the advanced world in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. It emphasizes modern knowledge, especially in information and technology, conducts teaching and research activities, and focuses on the development of new technologies.

Both undergraduate and postgraduate levels offer effective and quality education in various fields of information and communication technology. The academic activities of the university started in March 2019. Currently, the university comprises six departments under five faculties, of which five admit students and one serves as a supporting department.

The departments admitting students include Educational Technology and Engineering, IoT and Robotics Engineering, Software Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering, and Data Science and Engineering. Each department focuses on attractive and essential topics in the field of modern technology. Additionally, the Institute of Online and Distance Learning facilitates online education programs.

The university is currently running in a rented building adjacent to the land earmarked for the permanent campus. Each classroom is well equipped with the latest multimedia technology, including smartboards, projectors, etc. It has modern lab facilities for study and research.

UFTB provides state-of-the-art solutions for teachers to manage classes, record the attendance of students, take quizzes, submit assignments, and manage examination activities through its own learning management system.  Students can access their results and class-related information anytime. The university strictly follows an academic calendar. The University Management System (UMS) efficiently manages activities such as examinations, continuous assessments, attendance scoring, and result preparation.

The university’s mission is to accelerate national development and make significant contributions globally by transforming the young generation into skilled human resources and successful entrepreneurs through technological education and innovation. A dedicated team of teachers leads this noble initiative to develop the young generation of the country into skilled human resources.
