Functions of the Proctor Office include:

  •        Ensuring discipline, security, and cleanliness across the university, supported by 29 security personnel, 24 cleaning staff, and 1 attendant (baburchi).
  •        Taking appropriate action, in accordance with university regulations, against any breach of discipline within the university and its affiliated premises. 


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining campus discipline: Ensuring peace and order for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Student conduct management: Investigating complaints of misconduct or disciplinary violations and taking appropriate action.
  • Security supervision: Ensuring a safe campus environment and coordinating security personnel.
  • Receiving and investigating complaints: Conducting hearings and investigations of student complaints.
  • Disciplinary actions: Issuing warnings and fines, or recommending and implementing other disciplinary measures in accordance with university rules.
  • Hall and residential discipline: Continuous supervision of student residences in accordance with regulations.
  • Prevention of unauthorized activities: Preventing ragging, disorderly gatherings, and illegal activities.
  • Administrative support: Assisting in implementing directives from the Vice-Chancellor and other administrative offices.
