Overview

 Functions of the Treasurer’s Office include:

• Overseeing the university’s overall financial management, controlling funds, and advising the authorities on improving the quality and efficiency of financial operations in line with institutional needs.

• Arranging the preparation of the annual budget, presenting it to the appropriate authorities, and taking the necessary steps for its approval.

• Monitoring expenditures to ensure that funds are used strictly for the purposes for which they were approved or allocated.

• Signing all financial contracts on behalf of the university.

• Advising the Vice-Chancellor, relevant committees, institutes, and concerned bodies on matters related to the university’s financial management.

• Regularly reconciling all bank accounts, balancing cash books and bank statements, and preparing reconciliation statements, trial balances, and related financial records.

• Monitoring item-wise annual expenditure statements and other financial reports.

Message from Treasurer
Welcome to the website of University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh . The primary objective of establishing this university is to develop skilled human resources in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) and to promote the expansion of technology-based higher education. In pursuit of this goal, this specialized university was founded through the enactment of Act No. 31 of 2016 in the National Parliament. Situated in Kaliakair, Gazipur district, the university is making significant contributions to the technological development of the country through its state-of-the-art education programs.

 

Aiming at creating a manpower compatible with the fourth industrial revolution by developing creative skills and knowledge in the field of information and technology, this university starts admitting the students in the academic year 2018-2019. Since its commencement, the university has endeavored to go beyond the traditional education system and offer contemporary and practical content to the students. However, still it is struggling to ensure a perfect academic environment due to a lack of permanent campus and a shortage of experienced faculty members.

 

Despite these shortcomings, we are committed to ensuring a quality education through appropriate utilization of limited resources. I believe, through proper planning and effective implementation, this university will become an institution of global standard in the near future. I extend my best wishes for the continued success of the university.
